Skin Resurfacing is a non-invasive treatment that delivers tiny columns of laser light to stimulate the production of healthy, new cells to replace old or damaged cells. This treatment smooths skin texture (fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars), fades discolouration (certain types of hyperpigmentation, brown spots, age spots, sun spots) and resurfaces your skin tone.

THINGS TO REMEMBER
BEFORE
Stop procedures or use of any products that can cause skin sensitivity like retinoids, peels, or acids for at least a week before the procedure. If you experience severe breakout before the treatment, it is best to postpone the procedure until your skin has calmed down. Avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before the procedure. It is advisable to quit smoking for at least two weeks prior to and after the treatment to avoid complications with healing and provide your body with the best chance for optimal results.
AFTER
Avoid rigorous exercise for at least a week post treatment. Your face might feel hot and inflamed post the procedure and a workout may make it worse. As much as you would want to, avoid cooling your skin with ice as this might cause ice burn. Check with our doctors for alternate methods of cooling your skin. The downtime for the treatment is typically a week. It is recommended to wash the area with a gentle cleanser (with absolutely no chemical or physical exfoliators) twice a day. Keep the area clean. Use the prescribed post-treatment moisturiser or serum in the frequency specified by the doctor. Your skin may be photo-sensitive post treatment. Wearing sunscreen is a must.
